Does anyone have any information or tips for changing the front brake rotors on a '94 4x4? I have changed the brake pads, not too involved but I was looking at the Chilton book and the pic of the front rotor and hub, it looked like a lot of little pieces in there. I can't think of too much that would be there to full with. I can imagine I would need to change the seals, anything else?

The rotors on a 94 house the bearings. To remove it you'll have to pull the calipers off like you've done before. Then the hubs and all the nuts come off. Then after that the rotor will slide off. I would suggest putting new bearings in unless you JUST put them in. The big thing is that you would have to remove the old bearings and the pressed in bearing races. It is somewhat easy to damage them on removal if you're not careful. Get new rotors, inner and outter bearings and seals. Then tap in the new races, pack the wheel bearings with the correct high temp wheel bearing grease, tap in the new seals, then reinstall the nuts and properly torque the nuts to get the right bearing preload. Then just finsih reinstalling everything and you're done. I would suggest using some brake cleaner on the rotors after you open them up to clean off all the oil thats on them. Really not that difficult of a job.
