front brakes...

im changing my front brakes, all of it. the rotar, pads, and calipars. i know how to change the rotar and pads, but how do i change the calipars? is it a simple processes? i hope so X| lol. ive done some searching, cant find anything.

it shouldnt be too hard at all, I have changed brakes on many vehicles including pads, rotors, and calipers. Usually you just take the bolts out that hold the caliper on, usually 2, then disconnect the brake line. viola' then just reverse it to put the new ones on
 






cool stuff. i guess i could drain the brake fluid at that time and refill with new stuff? does the type of brake fluid matter?
 






not sure on that one. i have never changed brake fluid. maybe someone else will chime in.
 






You dont have to drain the brake fluid when you do your calipers, for some reason I can't remember exactly what I did, but you only have to refill the resivor to replace the fluid that was in your calipers and the fluid you lose when you bleed the brakes after you put the new ones on.
I guess you could siphon out the old brake fluid when you do it, but i'ts not nessicary.
