I need all new front brakes and am trying to decide if i want to do them myself. I have a stock 93 XLT 4x4 with ABS. I have done brakes before on 2wd but never on a 4x4. Is it hard to put on the front rotors? I can get the tools to take off the hubs from my local auto parts store for free as long as i bring them back, but is there a bunch of little parts or something that will make this project to hard? If i do it myself i will save $200 dollars. i have no problems with doing the calipers and pads, it's just messing with the hubs that i am worried about.

Hubs are cake. It's the same idea as a 2wd, just bigger. Do you have the auto hubs or manual?

i have the stock auto ones.

So then you prob have the single nut. Make sure you torque down the nut to the specified setting in the Chilton's manual. When you pull the wheel off, the hub will slide off and everything else will look familier.
