Is a front bug deflector really useful? I have an OEM one on my 04 but I am sick of the look, I think it would look better without it. What are your opinions? I figure the only thing helpful to deflect would be stones, bugs are going to hit my ex anyways right?

It doesn't really do much, but have you looked under yours?

Mine scratched the paint on the top/front edge of my hood, so I had to keep one on to cover that up.

It will cost you gas mileage having one or removing one? Yes I have looked under mine, no scratches but I will have to remove the stick on rubber stops, which should be no big deal, I always just fear of salt getting behind it as well as acorns, sticks etc.

I have one on my 2000, and I chose not to put one on the '04, becuase I didn't like the look of the new body-style with one. I wish I had though, the whole hood has stone chips on it with only 40,000km (25,000miles) on it, while my 2000 with 120,000km (75,000miles) has none.
