Need to know what coil compressor i should buy (or if anyone can give me advice how to work without one)

I am doing the F-150 coil spacer lift on my ranger (thanks cybergasm) , and i dont have a coil compressor, and im concerned about ordering one and having it not fit (the one my grandpa has dosnt fit my coils) so i found this one online

http://www.amazon.com/Michigan-Indu...ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1266359690&sr=1-7

And wanted to know if i should go ahead and buy it or if someone can give me a run through on doing the coil spacer lift without it (if its reasonably done... lol) or a different one thats better i can order or buy at schucks or someplace?

Thanks everyone!

Good to hear the Spacers made it up there ok

well you should be able to disconnect the Shock and the Sway bar and the nut and washer inside the coil that should in theory give up enough down travel to get the coil out without a compressor. then just reverse it to put it back together.

It is easier to get the axle to drop more if you loosen (not remove) the axle pivot bushing nut at the end of the radius arm.

This is assuming you already removed the shock (at least the bottom bolt and pulled the shock off the mount) and the sway bar.

Ya just got them about 45 mins ago! Im excited to get them on, just want to make sure i dont get too impatient and brake things... again... lol! I'll try and see if i can get it to drop enough to make it work, but i have my doubts. We'll see, i'll probably post an update on it in about an hour.

- i'll try that too Mark! Thanks!

Also, IIRC, your ranger upper coil bucket is the same as the explorer one. That means the spring rotates out of the upper mount. It does not pull straight down. That means you may have to rotate it some to get it to come out of there.

Also, if you have the j-clip at the top of the spring to hold it in, don't forget to take that out too.

Thanks everyone for the help! I successfully got the f150 coil spacers in and my truck looks great!
