Front differential/axle help needed.

first timer looks like a good site. can anybody give me some info on a 2000 v8 awd explorer front differential. is there a front axle bearing in the passenger side axle housing. my hanes manual does not get into this matter. i pulled the cv shaft and the axle has a lot of side to side play. i suspect there is a bearing but im having trouble getting info and the ford dealers are not much help. if anyone has any info or advice i would appreciate it thanks

Search "Hubs" in the stock 1995-2001 Explorer sub forum

The CV should have some side to side play, that's normal.
