- 2009 Ford Explorer
I am having a little difficulty with a newly acquired 2009 Ford Explorer. Whenever the rear wheels slip slightly and the fronts engage, the driver side front axle binds up and stops while the other three are pulling. I had thought maybe the CV joint was binding so I replaced the entire axle. While replacing the axle I noticed the front differential oil was low (I topped it off). The front differential had been rebuilt in the past at an auto shop. Passenger side seems fine. Any thoughts on what might be damaged in the differential causing this?
Thanks,
Jason
