Front emblem removal? (i know, not again)

I really tried to search and came up empty. I saw the sticky of how to remove the front grille, but to remove the emblem, do you have to remove the grille, or just the middle strip with the emblem attached???

PLUS, is there a DIY tread to remove the middle strip so i don't break any tabs???

Hi Vig, you don't even need to remove the middle strip to remove the front badge. Details are buried in this thread starting around message 50:
