First off, my wife and I just bought an '04 Explorer xlt 4.0 awd/4x4. The front feels like it binds up when backing out of a parking spot. I haven't noticed it while going forward just when backing up with the wheel cranked. I just had this problem with my 1999 Astro awd and all I did was change the fluid in the transfercase and my problem was solved. Any of you experienced ford owners know what if anything else this could be?

Secondly, there is a winding noise from the front end (almost sounds like a truck that has mud tires on it but we have goodyear wrangler rt/s tires). You can feel the vibration in the steering wheel at about any speed over 20-25mph. The vibration is not crazy but it is consistent at any and all speeds between 25-80mph. With the vibration not changing I figure it is not a tire vibration. Another thread mentioned wheel bearings but being that I have not owned a ford in about 10 years and never had issues with my old '97 sport.

Thanks for the replies in advance!
