The front end on my 96 5.0 2wd is creaking. It seems to be coming from the "A" arm bushings. I tried to lube them with spray lube but it hasn't helped. Does anyone know what I can do to stop it? It makes the truck sound like a piece of crap. Is there a quick fix or do I need to replace the bushings?

welcome to the site.... if it is the bushings, replace them... also, examine shocks, as they cause creaking up front as well

I found my squeeking and rattling here. At first, I thought the sounds were coming from the front end. You might want to check it out.

Also, check your front swaybar bushings.

I had front end sqeaking and I never thought it would be the swaybar. I replaced the bushings and the sqeaking is long gone.;)

That is true. In my case, I changed the whole sway bar end links to a shorter one. It did not fix the squeeking noise but I discovered by going to a shorter end links it made my truck corner better. :)

Thanks for the info. So far I haven't had any luck determining the exact problem.

Just keep going at it man. You'll find it eventually. Or it will fall off eventually. :D

I swore I found my creaking several times and lubed up every spot, one a day..and was wrong each time. My creaking came from inner tie rod ends and was fixed with WD40 using a small pin hole in the boot. Then seal hole with silicone caulk. No noises anymore. My creaking was much worse when it got warm.

Hope this helps a fellow baltimoron.

I finally narrowed it down to either the inner or outer tie rod ends on the passenger side. I lubed the inner end through the boot and replaced the outer end with one that has a grease fitting. So far so good. Thanks for everyones input, it is appreciated.
