I just got through lifting my truck with an SOA in the rear and TTtwist in the front and also a body lift slanting twards the back... my truck still looks like a shackled up GTO if u know what i mean... is there anyway to lift the front of my explorer only another inch or 2... without breakin in my wallet
Anything would help... Thanks!!:salute:

not that i can help but this is why i wish it had a solid axle in the front and rear like a 94 they are so much easier to lift

I assume 4wd/awd.. If so not much.. If you can find a RCD front lift you can get about 5.5" of lift and ditch the torsion bars.

yea i figured that an RCA would b the way to go... but it is expensive... i looked up spindles and they lift the front end... right? and when i was searching spindles i kept on seeing things like wheels falling off and what not... is that a good way to lift the front?

Spindle lifts are only for 2wd. Are you 2wd or 4wd?

I've heard of a few of them breaking too. I'd be a little worried using them even if I could.

Yea i have 4wd so i guess spindles are not an option haha... so this kinda leaves me in a little rut... thanks for the help yall... if anyone thinks of anything else please just let me know... THANKS!!!:salute:

i think you can order just the front kit from superlift, i think it's about $600 or so

do you have extended shackles or anything?...you could pull the overload leaf to lower it a bit, also crank the t-bars a little more. You used the 3" bl right?
Edit: GTO's are coil springs btw :P

yea i thought about jus buyin the front suspension lift and then throw blocks and shackles in the rear... now where to get money haha... Hoorah for college:salute:

Blocks will lower the rear. You are thinking of a SOA setup.

yeah i would do what SkanlaxJMO said...remove the overload and if you have lift shackles on swap them out for the stock ones.....Im going to be going soa next week hopefully and im ditching both of those.

nice, how are you lifting the front.

I wonder if some Ranger parts would lift a front end of a Gen II X to give it a little extra lift. 98 and newer rangers (4x4) use a spring over axle in the rear with like a 2-inch lift block stock. The front end as far as I know is similar if not identical to the X. The ranger will fit a 31 to 32-inch tire stock.

confusion reigns, so i reign it in,

wow,, this thread is way confusing,, , he wants to lift the front a bit more, i guess, , hmm,.
you already have done the sloped body lift, and SOA, so that kind of limits what comes next,, you twisted the torsions, so that is out of the way ,
next step would be a suspension lift kit, like a superlift .
yes one person posted proper on that , it is possible to get the front kit only, but it costs, not cheap, about this much,

As for other options,, there is an RCD kit, but the price is large,

change of plans, I got the sloped body lift on and after looking at it im just going to order 3" lift leaf springs from customsuspension.com.
SOA is going to be too big.

EDIT: change of plans again, my soa kit will be here tomarrow.
