I've had this thing on a lift and can't find a thing...I've paid for the front end to be checked and they said front drive shaft. Thing is this is a 1996 explorer and the front drive shaft does not spin in 2wd!
The vehicle has a loud ticking tap from the front end consistent with vehicle speed...at 25mph it turns into vibration, at 60 it feels like a truck locked into 4wd. I've jacked the front end and cannot get a sound out of it when spinning the tires.
the vibration also dissipates after about 10 minutes of driving.
any ideas?
