I recently bought a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 and it has a squeaking sound coming from the front end. It makes the squeaking noise whether it's parked and running or just sitting parked not running at all but is loudest when you open and then close either the driver's or passenger side door. I got under it this morning and tried to figure out where it was coming from and it sounded like it might be from the exhaust manifold area but not sure.
Anyone have/had something similar to this? Not sure if this is some kind of common issue with Explorers, I've already had to fix the door ajar issue and replace the rear panel on the tailgate as well as the hinges on the rear window glass. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
