I have a 98 Mountaineer 2 wheel drive and it is eating up the tires on the front end. The wear is occuring on both the inside of the tires. It is not pull to one side or another, it is almost squatting down. I have had a mechanic friend that has re-aligned it a few times but it is still wearing the tires. Any suggestions or insight would be appreaciated before I have to replace the tires again.

Thanks!

Those 12 year old torsion bars are weak. You need to turn your torsion bar bolts clockwise to get it sitting level again (commanly refered to as a TT). This will also correct the camber which is wearing the insides of your tires.
