Hy to everyone in the US !

I´m sitting here in Germany and I admire the wonderful world of your US-Explorer scene, especially the possibilitys for making our cars more beautiful. Here in Germany we have (except a few very boring companys) no chance to modify, so we have to look for US-parts. But unfortunately the cost for shipping are very often absolutly too high.

But nevertheless, now I found a nice site for grilles (http://www.grillcraft.com/applications/applications.asp?action=viewDetails&app=88) but there is a small problem... I think these grille is mounted in front of the original grille, but can´t you see the older one through the holes?!?

Sorry for my Englisch, but school is long ago...

Guten Tag und willkomen!

I believe that you would be able to see the factory gille through the Grillecraft. But you could spray your grille with a flat black paint, then install the Grillcraft to eliminate the possibility of seeing the factory grille.

As far as your English, it is much better than my German! It's been quite a few years for me taking German in high school and college. As the saying goes, "If you don't use it, you lose it!"

he right....the grille will probably show through unless you spray the stock grill black. Be sure to post some pics when ya get it done!

Thank`s for your support !

I guess I´ll do it in the next few weeks, but I have to decide what kind of grille and where to buy it. Any suggestions ?!?

Buy the way... has anyone an idea to lower the cost for shipping ?!?

Hey and thank`s for the compliments for my Englisch but the dictionary is always with me....

hey, i dont know if you have this product over there, but i used "gutter gaurd" in mine. it looks like that one in the pic, but i put it behind my grill so that it just fills in the holes. it doesnt look as good as that pic, but that one is $175, mine was $5. if cost is an issue, id go with that. if you are interested i can give you better directions.

Hy fish man,

thanks for your tip, but I´m interested in doing the best for my "little car" and I´m absolutly untalented to work with my hands. So if I try your hind it will look like ....:( :( :(

So I have to spend a "little" money to get the best. But I´m still not sure what will be the best. So I have to look for the best products of the best company to buy these items, and then I must find a company here in Germany to install the hole stuff.

Or maybe someone of you has a nice grille to sell...

hey,
i purchased a billet grille for my explorer and in order to install it i had to take a hack saw and just saw the old grille out, in order to not see the factory grille behind that one and in lou of painting it black...you could just saw it out, you cant really tell especially with the grille you put a link to....just a suggestion.
hope that helps, anna

a Dremel would work wonders also on removeing the grille pieces.
