Front hvac motor just stopped working.

Hi folks,
99 ford explorer with v8. I've had the truck about 10 years. Got in the truck today and put the ac on and blower motor wasn't working. Worked fine yesterday and today nothing. Any thoughts? Motor, relay, switch? Any help appreciated.

Well went under the hood and gave the motor a couple of light taps with a hammer and it's working again for now. We'll see what happens.

i was going to suggest trying that. new blower motor time.

Did you tap the motor or the housing the motor sits in?

Sorry, it's been a while since I've been on here. I tapped the housing to get it to work. It eventually stopped again. After tapping and stopping, tapping and stopping I replaced it. Working like new again.

Mine died about the same time as yours. Picked up a replacement from Advance with coupons for like $35. Works like a charm now. Too bad my AC isn't working, grrrr...

Check the blend door?
May sound silly.. my AC wasn't working for a while, I thought it lost it's charge, but tried fiddling with the blend door motor and now it works, ice cold.
