1997 4.0 stock two wheel drive five speed stick. I stripped the plastic trim and top carrier rack off. Truck was white. I removed the covers from the wheels and painted the steel wheels brite red, some of the frame and behind the grill blue. No better colors; red, white and blue.
Been going over three thousand miles between oil changes. Wonderful vehicle. Last Friday going to Michigan at a fuel stop smelled hot oil outside vehicle. Found oil on the exhaust system and oil pan and transmission. Not bad, but annoying. Have went over two thousand miles, still do not have less oil on the dipstick. I installed mechanical gauges two years ago, oil pressure and water temperature is normal. After returning home, Power washed under side. And found oil leaking from the lower right side of the water pump. Any similar problems out there?
