Hey guys,
got my explorer well over a year ago and I think it just happened by chance, but my parking lights up around my headlights have customized themselves, and I like it.
Normally, they look something like this:
But mine have done something different. There are 3 lights total, and two of them have dual element bulbs while the third one (the one in the middle) is a single element bulb turning on only when parking lights/headlights are on. Well the "side" [not the ones on top of headlight] parking light bulbs must have gotten their less bright element destroyed, but both still have their bright element. This means they will work with turn signals, but will not turn on when the parking lights/headlights are on.
..hopefully you understand that, that was the hard part...
So since that has happened, this is what my parking lights look like now:
and with the lights on at night, I like the way this looks moreso than if all three amber parking lights were on.
Wondering if anyone has ever tried this purposefully? Or even if this didn't happen by chance and maybe all '96s are setup this way
perhaps even those dual element bulbs were simply replaced with single element bulbs.. either way, you get the point
