OK, I've asked some dumb questions here before, but this one will probably cement my reputation as a wacko.

I am 6'2" and the top of the front seatbacks barely come up to the base of my skull. I would like something a little higher for better whiplash protection - has any one ever added an extension of some sort? I really like the seat comfort overall, so I am not eager to swap in a seat from something else, but would consider it if that is the best course of action.

Thanks!

Andrew

It's been so long since I fiddled with those, so I might just be making up nonsense ;) but I wonder if you could take a piece of stainless rod of same diameter as what's in the headrest, bend it to shape, and replace the one in it with that longer piece? I'm just assuming they are round.

Not a bad idea, unfortunately, these seats are really more highback buckets with the headrest portion integral to the seatback (no adjustment). I think what would need to be done would be to add an adjustable headreast to the high back bucket. To do it right would likely involve removing the upholstery and welding some kind of hardware onto the frame of the seatback.
