How hard is it to remove and reinstall the front seat upholstery? I'm looking to add aftermarket heated seats to the front.

I just ran out right quick and it looked like there is a black plastic piece under the seat back which holds the front/back upholstery together. Can I simpyl unhook this and roll it up then back down? The seat base looks to have 2 plastic hooks in the rear which hold it in place also. Is there anything else other than that?

I'll be reupholstering the front/rear seats in our 67 Mustang next year and I know it uses about 300 hog rings, listing rods, etc to hold everything in place. The 03 explorer seats look like they are quite a bit easier.

I have a 96,don't know if they are the same but I took mine apart to fix the inflatable lumbar support and it was a piece of cake. Just unhook the plastic (zip lock) I don't know what they are called and it comes off.

PS there is a thread in the interior forum on heated seats that has pics and is very good.

Great! Gave it a quick 30 second look and I figured it was pretty much "un-zip/un-clip" that plastic fastener. This will be so much easier then my 67 seats lol. I'll have a look for that other thread you mention as well.

Thanks
