My 92 Explorer 4 door needs some front seat rework, I tried replacing the drivers side with some dense foam and it did OK for a while now it feels like I'm sitting in a hole again. I looked at some aftermarket seats and they were pretty expensive!! I looked at some seats in a local junkyard and they felt like they wore the same as mine! Just wonderin if anyone made a better fix than what I tried?

Try doing a search of old posts, this is a common problem. Here's one solution:

The seat in my '94 had lost some of it's shape. The problem was the foam cushion was supported by thin steel wires attached to springs. Over time, the wires cut into the foam.

I solved the problem by glueing the foam together and adding a piece of thin carpeting between the wires and foam to distribute the load. Easy job. You should be able to do it yourself.

Although the rear seats don't get used as much, I noticed they had a grid of heavy thread to do the same thing.
