Hey, i know this sort of sounds...well cheap, but i need somethign for the weekend, or of course price is a factor. I have access to welders, so i was thinking of welding two pieces of angle from the front of the frame and then at the front suspension main member, and then bolting some 1/8 or 1/4 sheet metal??? Think it might work.

it should work, but the sheet metal will be pretty thin to help much.

If you look on the second page of my website http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/557659 I got a custom built one on my '95. I made it out of 1/4'' checker plate. I welded 2 tabs with holes in them on the top and 2 on the bottom. They are welded on the back. For the top, I welded a piece of 1'' sqare tubing across the frame, drilled 2 holes on it and bolted it on. For the bottom, I welded the tabs close to the outside of the skid plate, drilled 2 holes in the main member, then I reached in the main member and held the nuts while I bolted it on. It took longer for the rockguard and paint to dry then it took me to fab it and mount it.

If you need pic's I can take some and post them.
