Hello
I am a new member and own a Ford Explorer 4.0 4wd.

I am having problems with the drop link bushes on the front suspension. They keep wearing out and this time only lasted 6 months. I have been trying to source polly bushes but they do not seem to be available in the UK. I have been informed that the bushes from the later Ford Ranger will fit but have not been able to verify this. The polly bushes for the ford Ranger are available can anyone help with this?

Hello
Thanks for reply. My Explorer was registered in 2000. I am unsure if any of Ranger bushes fit. Thats what I am trying to find out.

Thank you for all your replies it is very much appreciated. I will order parts and let you know how I get on. As a new member here I am very impressed. Live long and prosper and most of all stay safe.

@RickOTR , is that so... ive been running those on mine for a while and they haven't broken yet... if they break, ill just go with those...

Moog switched to using hollow (white) thermoplastic bushings on their problem solver end links. I have them but would not buy again. Your best best is the energy suspension polyurethane black bushings, whether in a kit with the link rods and washers, OR buy a different kit and then the energy suspension bushings alone, then swap in the superior energy suspension bushings, making sure that the bushing inner diameter is no larger than the kit rod, and no smaller unless you don't mind drilling it out to fit.
