Ok guys,
The difference between the 95-95 and 98-00 is the back portion of the torsion bar bracket. It is welded on both types, but the 98-00 has an additional square box that is welded to the frame, which the torsion bar adjustment plate also sits inside that box. the 95-97 does not have this metal box, but sit on a somewhat rounded plate (that is welded to the frame). This is where the adjusting mechanism on the 95-97 sits. This rounded metal plate is also part of the bracket assembly that runs from the left frame to the right frame, so you can't take the whole plate off. You just have to cut a square in it. In order to make the Traillmaster lift work on a 95-97 Explorer, the rear torsion bar mechanism from a 98-00 will have to be used, plus the rounded plate will have to be cut off, and teh square metal box will have to be welded in place. Then it will work. I hope I haven't confused you guys too much with the bad terminology, but I have looked at this for awhile. I even checked out the Trailmaster truck at Truck Haven. I have a 97Xlt and will be buying one as soon as they come out. Come hell or high water, My truck will have a lift!
