I started hearing binding noise in my front wheels at the passenger side. I jacked it up and there's a half inch play no noise when I turned it. No noise when I'm driving it slow but I can hear a binding low noise when I'm driving it in a regular speed. I suspect the wheel bearing. Any other opinions/suggetions. If it is the wheel bearings, how much wheel it cost me. Can I still drive my X. I need to go to work!

What do you mean by that? Turned it how?
Is the wheel moving, but not the steering knuckle?
Are you talking about the wheel rotating 1/2" before it stops? Can you give us alittle more information on what it's doing?
I have changed the hub assemblies before and they usually run from the dealer about $175.00. It's not that hard to replace this yourself. If your problem is the hub assembly, then you don't want to be running on it too much, because the wheel will collapes on you.

Just replaced mine

When I shook the tire (grabing the top & bottom) there was play. When driving I heard the noise at low speed and turning. I paid $200 so I didn't have to order it. I think there is a lifetime on it, not sure.

If you're going to do it yourself you need a 32mm socket. Find one first. I spent my whole days 'cause the guy I asked about it said 15mm and well IT'S NOT!!

you also need a 13mm and 15mm to get the brake caliper and caliper holder thing off.
