Fue Injector Flush @30k Miles?

Just dropped off the 2002 Explorer and the Ford dealer servcie said that since the car doesn't need a tuneup till 60k, it could use a fuel injector flush for $150. Since I am currently unemployed I passed. Did I make a mistake? Can I do a flush myself?

No you didn't make a mistake, they're trying to rip you off. I have a 93 with over 120k miles and have never had my injectors "flushed." The local Dodge dealership did this to my mom a few months ago and she didn't ask me before she paid for all this B.S. maintanence stuff they stuck on her, much like what they're trying to do to you.

fuel ijector flush is good if you have an old car or your injectors are VERY dirty, but you DEFINETLY dont need it with only 30k. try a bottle of seafoam - it will do the samething.
