I have a 1991 ford ranger 4.0 4x4 . The truck sat for about 10 years but when I started driving it everything worked very well. After a couple of weeks the fuel and temp gauges both stopped working. When I went to get the truck my father in law hooked the jumper cables up backwards and fried the wire from the solenoid to the alternator, could it have damaged anything else that would affect those 2 gauges.
