fuel gauge stopped

i hate to say that iv gone almost a hundred miles and im still on FULL! but i know that cant be right. could the plug in the back of the instrument panel be pulled out on just one side? the gauge in the tank is stuck somehow? iv always seen a gauge stuck on empty. I'll miss my 500 miles per tank(according to the oddometer) but this must be fixed

well here i am 30 miles later and its gone down to a quater of a tank, when i sit forward on a hill it goes down and when i sit backwards on a hill it goes up like normal,. but at a 130 miles it should normally be at half.

You can thank the engineers on crack at Ford for their wonderful fual gauge. It's working the way they designed it!

well its now midnight, i had a look see under the truck kicked the gas can a couple a times with my boots, looked at the gauge and now its a 3/4 full. this is getting rediculas.
