I know this topic has been touched on in the past and I thought I knew the answer to this but I was wrong.. Most concur that the 4 liter ohv engine used the 19lb/hr injector and I ran with that in replacing the injectors in my 1999 Explorer..
Bad move... I installed them and the engine runs... But it is throwing codes left and right thanks to the 19 lb/hr injectors being a tad too rich... The old injectors were Bosch 0 280 155 962 which are 12.7 lb/hr@43.5 psi... I installed 0 280 155 700 which are 18.25 lb/hr@43.5 psi...
So I would not assume that the 4 liter OHV uses 19 lb/hr injectors unless you check the Bosch part numbers first.. It would have saved me some time and effort instead of doing this a second time.. Changing injectors that is...
