Hi guys
I own Explorer 2008 4.6 V8 and I decided to clean the injectors - partially because I want to learn how all these things work, partially because I changed the fuel filter and found it to be really bad and dirty. So I unmounted the fuel ramp end extracted the injectors. Then I made some small setup with a pipe hooked to an injectors by one end, the other end going to a bootle with cleaning liquid and second pipe coming from the bottle to an air pump making some pressure. My intention then was to pump the pressure, supply 12v to injectors and spray the cleaning liquid through them. So far so good. Everything wen well.
What I found is that 2 out of 4 injectors only open when pressure is 1.9 bar and less, simply nothing happens when the pressure is around 2 bar and slightly more (you supply power but they don't open. Even with air). The other 2 injectors however do spray well at all pressure around 2 and 2+ bar. Looking at injectors, they all have same model but different part numbers (or whatever it is is in the third row: 4L8E-A4A (first row), 9F593 244 (second row) 5321F05279 (third row).
Two questions:
1. Should I worry?
2. Does it matter which injectors goes which cylinder? I thought they are all equivalent
