Fuel line location?

I need to know the location of the fuel line in the engine compartment.

Does it split into 2 braided hoses near the power steering unit?

If it does split into 2 braided hoses are those 2 hoses used to directly supply fuel to each side of the fuel injection manifold? (i.e. 1 hose supplies the left side of the engine the other hose feeds the right side of the engine) (or whatever the thing is called).

There are two lines that go to the top of the engine.. One is the supply line, the other is a return line from the regulator.

Assuming the lines haven't been bent.. Find the lines where there is are onnectors near the power steering pump, the line closer to the rear of the vehicle is the suppy line. The other way to make sure you found the supply line is to find the one that is connected to the fuel filter (on the frame rail, on the drivers side, near where your feet would be).

You will need fuel line disconnect tools to disengage those spring loaded snap couplings. The stainless steel lines are super expensive, so be very careful working on them. Mark them before disengaging them so that they don't get mixed up.

are bent fuel lines a common problem on 1st gens?

Any fuel line could bend, and kink from carelessness. They don't bend on their own.

Unless someone bent them themselves, no they don't bend.. they are located in a spot that isn't going to get hit by anything..
