So the other night I was driving home and I went to floor the gas but my explorer started to bog down. As I let off the gas it would start to pick up speed. A half mile down the road she died. It cranks but won't start. I put starter fluid into the tbody an she ran until it burned off. When u first turn the key on I hear the fuel pump go on and then shut off which is normal. I checked the fuel pressure port and there's fuel there. If I cycle the key once an start it it'll start for 2-3 seconds then die. So I thought fuel filter clogged. Went to change it but it's seized on. Any ideas how to remove it or what it could be going on here. I have half a tank of gas also...thank you

I recently had an issue with my newly purchased Sport having a filter that the lines were dang near butted up against the fuel filter body, making it impossible to the get the fuel line removal tools on to pop the lines off. I used a hacksaw on the filter necks near the body to remove the filter body, that way I could access the filter necks with my fuel line removal tools.

On a side note, it was interesting to see all the mud come out of the filter body when I did! LOL

And the OHV 4.0's should be running 30-35 psi.
