Okay guys lets see if we can put our heads together and fix my problem. On my way to Austin this weekend I started getting a check engine light. I then noticed that my gas mileage started to smell like fuel and I was getting 100 miles to every 30.00 dollars of gas. I couple of us thought it may be my Fuel Pressure Regulator. What do you guys think? If this is what it is How hard is it to replace?

Yup, sounds like it. You're running really rich, which is much better than running lean. Thank your truck for that. The FPR should take about an hour to install. I don't know what the stock one is like, but make sure all the settings and stuff are correct, and just pop it in. It took the S/C installer less than an hour to take the old one out and put the new one in, and set everything correctly.

I'm starting to get used to black smoke, as my truck has to run really rich sometimes. It's cool though when I'm flooring it and there's a puff of black smoke out the tailpipe on the upshift. Maybe I should get a sparker on my tailpipe? hehehe.
