Fuel Pump compatability

Does anyone know if all fuel pumps for a 96 Explorer are interchangeable? IE, will a pump from a 96 5.0 litre fit my 96 4.0 litre? Thank you in advance for your input.

Try looking up both applications online at rockauto or autozone. If the part numbers are the same then you should be ok.
