When I leave my truck overnight and try to start the truck in the morning, my fuel pump will not activate. I have to go and disconnect the battery for just a moment to "reset" it, and it starts working. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Also, I experience battery drain at night as well.

No, I do not have an after market or the factory RAP system.

I replaced the fuel pump relay about a month ago.

Yes. It is @ .2 amps.

When you see that the pump is not turning on, do you notice the absence of the check engine light when you turn the key to the run position? If so, then it could be the PCM relay or a bad ground connection to the PCM. Are there any stored codes? Did you check to see if there is power going to the fuel pump or the PCM when this happens? It could be a faulty ignition switch.

I do not see the check engine light come on, but since I can not get it to start, I have never paid that much attention to it.

The check engine light has never come on while driving since I have owned the vehicle, so I do not believe there are any codes. I will have to take to an AutoZone because I let someone borrow my code reader and they do not know what happened to it.

You should see the check engine light turn on every time you turn the key to the run position, even if the engine is off. It's supposed to turn off when the engine starts. A power failure with the PCM will clear any stored codes, so don't be surprised if no code numbers come up if you try to scan it. Check the light bulb in the dashboard if the light never comes on.

I went out and checked the truck. The check engine light does not come on. I replaced the instrument cluster @ 2 months ago, and when I did, I checked all of the bulbs and swapped the ones that were blown. I hate to take the dash apart again to check that bulb, but if I must, then I will do it.

Could my PCM just be messed up?

Check/replace the PCM relay. The CEL should come on when you turn the ignition to the ON position. As previously mentioned, if it's not the relay, then it could be wiring or the PCM itself. Start with the relay.
