fuel pump problem

new here and have a question about fuel pumps. I have a 92 explorer thats been sitting up about 3 years.trying to get it running but can't get any fuel pressure.the fuel pump has been replaced in the past.
was wondering if i could run a jumper wire from the inertia cut -off switch to the battery to see if the pump was any good?

Certainly could. Before I did that, I'd probably try grounding the fuel pump test lead in the self-test connector so I could test the entire circuit.
