I scored a brand new Master fuel pump off of eBay last night for $13.00 plus shipping, so I figured I'd finally fix the hard starting issue that I have diagnosed as a faulty check valve in the fuel pump. I have 2 questions:
I've got a 99 5.0
1) The part # on this fuel pump is E226. On the Advance Auto Site, it also lists another fuel pump that can be used on my truck (E2158). The only difference I see is that the E226 has thin electrical terminals, whereas the E2158 has wide terminals. What does this mean for me? Anyone have any experience with what Part # has worked for the 5.0's? Do the v8's have thin or wide terminals?
2)And just to clarify, the check valve is located INSIDE of the fuel pump, right? I'm hoping its not part of the assembly because that means more than a $13 fix!
Thanks
