Fuel Question

Just purchased a 2002 Explorer Sport and was only able to put 14 gals. of fuel in even though the needle was on E. How many gallons do these hold?

I believe around 20.5 gallons, it should be in your manual. There is a reserve amount of the 20 gallons so even if it was on E, it may have not been completely dry.

Its 16.8.. Just searched and found it

The sport has a smaller fuel tank than the 4 door. Mine typicaly takes 14-16 gallons when on E.
