Hey guys,
I've got an '04 XLT that has 65,000. I'm the original owner, and have never replaced the fuel filter or done a "fuel system cleaning". I'm going to replace the fuel filter for sure, but was considering taking it to a shop to do a fuel system cleaning. I'm certain that they don't take out the injectors to do this. Is it worth it and does it work. My XLT seems fine in terms of performance, other than the SES light keeps returning. Could my "dirty" fuel system be causing the SES light? I'll probably be taking it to an AUTOZONE for a code reading, but I was hoping for any speculation or advice what to do. I'm a usual DIYer if I have the information at hand, so I like to save as much as I can. Thanks in advance for the advice.
