well my 95 explorers sound system is junk.
every bump i hit it changes what speakers work, and it has a whine noise when i hit the gas.

Dont know why all this happens but figure its from a junky system the guy put in who had it before me. he just put a head unit in.

Im gonna take to a local place who are pretty good audio guys, and get them to redu the whole truck.
New head unit, speakers all around and would like a sub.

How much would this run?
What kind of equipment should i ask for?
and what size sub should i go with, dont need anything crazy, but want to hear it...

Thanks;)

EDIT:

This is kinda what i want to do...
attachment.php

I dont have anything there its just an open spot to put things, can i do this?

Yes you can do that box. The cubby hole thing pops out and I think the mtx box comes with a grill that covers the hole. Like those with a factory sub. As for how much it is going to cost is up to you. For the average listener you would do well with the Polk Audio "plate" speakers that are reviewed on the main page. In all four factory locations. As for the sub MTX (like the pictured) would be good because it has a built in amp. But JL Audio and Q-logic both make enclosers for that space that you can put different subs in. The JL Audio & MTX are made for a 10" sub and the Q-logic makes both 8" & 10" It is possible to make your own. There is a thread on here that gives you directions. A nice 10" with a good amp will probably be the best for you.

Thanks, ill look into that

What sub and amp combo do you have?^

i just have to get that box, i looked them up, and im thinking im gonna go with a JL audio box or the Qlogic, like sjr033 mentioned.
i like the fact that you can get a good sound, without taking up space
