gas gauge B4000 Mazda

Recently, I discovered that my gas gauge stopped functioning and the check gauge light appears. The needle is of course below empty. My question is there any way to restore the functionality of the gauge w/o taking off the fuel tank? Just recently filled up to make sure wouldn't run out of fuel. Am sure the floater is stuck or just not functioning . Any help appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! What you can do is see if you getting a power reference from the wire coming off the sending unit. If you are not getting power up to the gauge, then there is most like an issue with the sending unit and the tank will need to be dropped to replace it. If you are getting power up to the gauge, there there is an issue with the gauge.
