Gas gauge issues

Ok so I filled my tank completely up the other day and it just stayed and stayed on Full. It finally came down a little bit but now when I start the truck it goes back up maxed out Full! I should be somewhere around a half of tank. Any ideas or thoughts?

Sounds like a bad sending unit.

Are you parking on hills or flat ground? Sounds like it could be the floater is sticking which is connected to the sending unit.
