Here's the story:

My gas gauge has been broken since I bought the truck. Simply doesn't work.

Is this something I can fix by just taking off the gauges and connecting a wire? Or is it something that might be deeper in? I'm sure this is easy enough to fix by myself, so I'd just like to take care of it one of these days and get it over with. Thanks..
 






The problem could be with the sending unit in the tank or the gauge or some where in the wiring. If its the sending unit in the tank you most likely have to remove the tank to get at it.

Dead Link Removed

It may just be the float. Mine went bad. You can get the float at the Ford dealer for about $4. It took me about 2 hours to R&R the tank by myself.:hammer:
