Gas Price....

What is happening to the price of gas?

It was $1.67/gal for regular today to fill the Explorer. But the kicker was the 200 gallons that went into the boat today at $2.10/gal. Ouch....

it's spring, the gas magically increases in price again.... its 1.75 and up in the chicago land area and its supposed to go higher.... 14-15 mpg is starting to hurt.

but im not gonna complain in comparison to your boat, 200 gallons is a big ouch.

Wow 200 gallons is a lot of gas. How big is your Boat? Gas is supposed to go up to $3 bucks a gallon this summer, so we haven't seen the worst of it yet. I wish i had some oil in my backyard. Then i'd be rich $

Tell me, and its at least 200 a week, Summertime can be 200 every other day.

Then I might have to add a surcharge for fuel....

Well Im trying to feel sorry for you guys but up here it just went to .77 cents a litre (still trying to figure this metric stuff out) whitch is about $2.90/gallon give or take . When they tell us its onlygone up 5 cents thats actually like 20 cents a gallon! As you say its spring and it aint gonna get any cheaper.
Oh well still cant bring myself to buy a civic

At least in the summer you get a little bit more MPG! mine has been going up the past few fill-ups. Last tank I got 410 miles to the tank. that was even with some harder driving. Hopefully i can get up to 450 a tank like last summer.

Ditto!! I'm sooooo glad summer is around the corner. The gas price around here is $1.55 a gal regular, premium is $1.70 a gal. Right now, I don't really care about what gas to use. Sam's sells gas at $1.49 a gal. That's a lot chaper than $1.55 when you pump about 17 gal. Well, about the 410 miles, it's never gonna happen on my truck. The highest I got is 300 miles. A few weeks ago it was 1.25 a gallon, now its up to 1.58 a gallon. I'm sure its less today since its the weekend and on the interstate, here in town I imagine its more.

No the math is about right, i used 3.8L to a gallon. (Got that info off toilet bowls hehe.)

Don't feel bad!

Not far from toad, Quebec in fact, it is up to 83 cent/liter x 3.8 = 3.15 per gallon. The main reason why I did not buy another Explorer, but instead and Escort. I get twice the mileage, but still would have liked and other Ex.

410miles to a tank! Holy crap, the most i've gotten is 300. Please tell me how you manage that.

$1.65 here in Nebraska. It went up around .20 last week alone. I'm a new owner of a '91 Mazda Navajo that got 18.5mpg on my last highway trip, which works out to about 350m/tank. It's a five speed, so I'm hoping on making some imporovements on gas mileage, AT LEAST 20! 02 sensors, new wires, kkm true rev...those should all help.

ah yes, i just got my o2 sensors replaced, so we'll see how it is on this fresh tank, $24.00 to fill it up

Man, the most I can squeeze out of my Ex is about 230 miles. Gas here in Vegas ais about 1.70 for reg. unleaded and I fill up once a week! This sucks, think I need to find a cheaper mode of transportation.

I paid 1.47/gal for gas the other day here in MA. Get about 350 miles/tank.

I just paid $1.49/gal.........and only get 230 miles on a 2 door tank! Shouldn't i be getting more?
