Gas Siphoning Troubles

I have a question for anybody who can help me. I own a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer and I am currently trying to siphon gas out of it and into another vehicle. As I attempted to complete this process, I realized that I was having difficulties with that gas (none was coming through the tube). I was wondering if this model of Mountaineer had an anti-siphon device in the gas tank? I appreciate any responses. Thank You!

Pretty sure there's a screen a couple feet down the line that'll prevent you from reaching the tank.

I suspected that I was hitting something, but I didn't know if there was indeed a screen/filter or not. Thank you!

Well if you pulled the hose out and it was dry...that kinda would have been a big hint.
