Ok, so I've been wondering, I ran Shell gas for the longest time in all my cars because it was the cheapest and closest Top Tier gas. And I've run 66 a few times as well. Most often the Shell and it seems like after I've been running it so long my truck actually runs kinda crappy. And the other night I filled up at a BP since it was the only gas I could find on the way. And it actually seems to run better now. Less lugging, and the idle is much smoother. I haven't had a lot of experience with 66 to be able to compare, but it also seems like my mileage is going up as well.
I know that Ford is now recommending BP in all their new vehicles. So has anyone experienced this at all that certain gas runs better in certain cars, and I've read other forums where a lot of people say they get much better mileage on Shell. But none were Explorers. So just kinda curious about that. Seems kind interesting and maybe certain vehicle do just run better in certain vehicles. Anyways, just thought I'd put that out there.
