Gear questions...

Alright, I looked on the tag in my door jamb, and under "Axle" it says 41... anyone know what gears I have, or how I can find out?

If I wanted to swap the rear gears for a lower gearing, would the front gears also need to be changed? I'm still in the learning process as far as 4WD knowledge goes, and this is one of the things I'm not sure of yet...

As far as what that code means, I don't know offhand.
If you want to change gears, you can change just the rear, but only if you want to effectively turn your 4wd into a 2wd. If you do want to retain the ability to put it in 4wd and not break stuff immediately, you need both front and rear gears.
