I have a bit of a stupid question, how do you get those round circular clips off the trim without breaking them in a 1993 Explorer Limited with the JBL 4.1 system in it? I'm gunna remove the entire JBL system. Also which kick panel in the interior speaker amp in and how do I get to it?

If anyone's got some time and a camera, pictures would be much help.

Thanks for your time. :salute:

I removed all the clips using a Snap-On ASG-185A that my Ford neighbor loaned me. Worked great, and zero broken clips

use the tool pictured above (or something similar from your local parts store). the interior and sub amps are side by side behind that passenger rear panel

I made one of those tools out of an old BBQ/Serving fork. I trimmed the teeth down to about 3/4" and rounded off the sharp edges to prevent damaging the panels.

Good luck!
