I have been searching for days now trying to find one of these button assemblies for my overdrive lockout on my truck. I can only assume that there is supposed to be one, the hole is there in the shifter head, but that's it. I am not aware of my transmission being an AOD variety (5spd automatic with OD)....If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Everything that I have read says that if I tow, I should turn the OD off....well that's not an option for me right now...cause I got no way of turning it off. Any help/guidance/part numbers, etc would be greatly appreciated...I don't want to burn up my transmission simply because I can't turn the OD off....I do a tremendous amount of stop and go driving and I feel it would serve the transmission a little better if I could turn the OD off at that point....I have been told that the overdrive function is standard on these vehicles and checking my vin, it says that I have the 5spd with overdrive....does anyone know if the 2007 would have this transmission with the automatic OD feature....maybe that's why I have no button? I just don't know....
Thanx so much...Anita
