Hey guys,
I was wondering what I could do to the transmission to help with low end power situations. I have done everything I could to the engine besides heads, cam, supercharger so I want to see what I can do on the tranny. I have a tune to where the trans shifts REALLY quick (automatic trans) but I was wondering if there was anything else that was fairly cheap I can do.

What do you mean by "I have a tune to where the trans shifts REALLY quick"? As I understand it, the SOHC is kind of a rev-happy engine. If you've got it shifting too soon, you'll be shifting before the engine really gets into its power band.

The most obvious change I see making is in your differential gears. What are you running now? Lower gears can help you put more torque to the wheels, and help keep your engine in it's powerband.

BTW, this was posted in another forum I frequent. I thought it was a good discussion on torque, horsepower, and gearing. http://www.vettenet.org/torquehp.html
